When do I reserve my wedding date?

You can reserve your date at any time; however, please be aware that dates are booked on a first come first serve basis. In order to reserve a venue, you will need an initial $500 deposit and a signed contract.

How do I make a payment?

Deposits can be made with cash, a check or major credit card (limit $3,000 with a credit card). All payment information is listed on the general portion of your event contract.

What is a minimum?

Your minimum is the least amount of guests you are required to pay for in order to reserve a venue. Your minimum is listed on the upper right hand side of your event contract.

When do I choose my menu, linens, and wedding cake?

These final arrangements will be made two months prior to your event date. We will contact you to set-up this appointment and guide you through making each of these decisions. One month prior to your event, we will have an additional meeting. At this visit, we will also supply you with a floor plan and place cards. We will also coordinate the details and logistics pertinent to the week of your wedding.

When do I bring in my favors, seating chart, place cards, etc.?

We ask that you provide your favors, floor plan, place cards and other collectibles the Tuesday or Wednesday prior to your event. Please also be sure that all place cards are organized in alphabetical order by your guests' last name. Please be sure that all items are in boxes and labeled with the labels provided for you. Your final payment will also be due at this time.

Note: Any items needed to be set-up beyond what is mentioned above require permission from Villa Borghese; and may incur an additional cost.

Note 2: All left over items should be taken home at the conclusion of your event. Villa Borghese will not be responsible for any items left behind.

What about ceremony decorating?

The ceremony site can be decorated; however, this can be done exclusively through Villa Borghese. We offer a ceremony decorating package to add floral accents to your ceremony, with options to customize. Please inquire within for details.

Do you offer any discounts?

Discounts are offered for both children and working professionals after the guaranteed minimum is fulfilled. Children 3-12 years and working professionals are half price.

We offer an off-season rate from November 15th - April 1st. Discounts are taken off of your base price and do not apply to ceremony fees or enhancements.

What is the service charge?

The service charge is an 18% fee that finances some of the procured merchandise for your event. These include: Cake, Linens, the LED Lighting System, and Wedding Planning Guides.

Do you hold food tastings?

Yes, we do host food-tastings. We ask that you contact the main office at 845-297-8207 for more detailed information.

When do you I give my final head count?

We ask for your final count the Monday prior to your event. We ask for the breakdown of Adults, Children 3-12, and working professionals. We also ask for the number of guest tables in your reception, excluding the head and vendor tables.

Where is my ceremony in the event of inclement weather?

While it is always desired to hold your ceremony in our outdoor gardens; we always have a contingency plan to host your ceremony indoors in the event of rain or any other unfavorable conditions. This venue is noted on page two of your event contract.

Can we do a rehearsal?

Yes, you can hold your rehearsal at Villa Borghese if your ceremony is taking place on-premise. This typically takes place a day or two prior to your wedding and can be reserved a month prior to the date.

Note: Please be sure that your ceremony officiate is present at the time of your rehearsal. If he/she is not and you require assistance from Villa Borghese to coordinate the rehearsal, please make us aware at the time you make the reservation. Due to the need to provide assistance in this matter, you will incur an additional cost.
